Photographing Wildlife & Wild Places! Tips to Improve Your Nature Photography (Wildlife & Landscapes)
Storytelling in Still Frames: The Art of Travel Photography
Jeff offers a behind-the-scenes look at how he approaches photographing destinations worldwide from early research and scouting to the final frame. Along the way, he’ll break down light, composition, and how to capture people, places, and culture in a way that feels authentic and visually compelling.
Wildlife & Wild Places
From sweeping landscapes to fleeting wildlife moments, this presentation explores what it takes to photograph the natural world at its most compelling. Jeff combines practical techniques with creative insight, illustrated through images made in some of the planet’s most remote and untamed locations.
Jeff Mauritzen's photographic assignments and adventures have immersed him in vivid landscapes across all seven continents and more than 60 countries. Whether photographing penguin antics in Antarctica or polar bears in the Arctic, his work reflects an enduring sense of curiosity, respect, and awe for the natural world. His photography has appeared in hundreds of publications, including more than two dozen National Geographic books, National Geographic Traveler magazine articles, The Wall Street Journal, Lonely Planet guidebooks, BBC Travel, and in a recent installation at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. Jeff is also a seasoned photography expert, guiding and lecturing on natural history–focused expeditions worldwide for National Geographic Expeditions. In addition to his editorial and expedition work, he collaborates with global brands and Fortune 500 companies, bringing the same storytelling approach to commercial and corporate photography.
